Organisation
Twin is a dynamic membership organisation owned and guided by many of its producer partners as well as individuals who combine relevant expertise and experience with enthusiasm and commitment to the principles of fair trade.
Twin's membership includes 24 farmer cooperatives in eight countries, encompassing a grass-root network of over a 1000 co-ops, who represent more than 163,000 farmer families. There are an additional 13 individual members who bring wide experience in the world of business and development.
Members elect Council representatives on an annual basis. Members also elect Guardian’s to act as ambassadors to Twin, and oversee Twin’s mission, constitution and procedures.
Twin & Twin Trading
Twin is a registered Charity in the United Kingdom (no. 201824). Twin is the sole member of Twin Trading, the limited guarantee company set up to trade on behalf of its producer partners. All profits from Twin Trading are covenanted to Twin.
