Bukonzo Joint’s coffee excellence recognised
Twin’s partner, the Bukonzo Joint coffee cooperative in Uganda, earned an impressive two places in the country’s Arabica Top 5 at the 2012 Taste of Harvest Coffee Competition in Kampala last week.
35 Uganda Arabica coffees were submitted from different regions of the country, and were roasted, cupped and scored using the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) internationally-recognised cupping protocol.
Two Bukonzo Joint coffees were rated in the Top 5, coming third and fifth with 84.21 and 83.89 respectively.
The Taste of Harvest competition was organised by the Eastern African Fine Coffees Association (EAFCA) in partnership with the Uganda Coffee Federation.
