Through their Gender Action Learning System (GALS) program, the Bukonzo Joint Cooperative Union is working to improve both gender equity and coffee quality in Uganda. This commitment to gender equity has had a direct affect on coffee quality, the average cupping scores increasing from 77 in 2011 to 85.75 in 2014.
