Fair Trade Organisation (FTO) recently hosted an exchange between the four QMS coaches in Latin America working with FTO and the three coaches working with Twin in Africa through the Comic Relief funded project. The aim of the workshop was to share experiences and learning from developing QMS with producer partners in both continents. The exchange examined how best to adapt the QMS methodology to the reality of the organisation, and where there is a lack of resources to develop a full QMS system, how to take advantage of the methodology to analyse and improve the internal functioning of the organisation. The coaches found the exchange extremely useful and left motivated to support producer partners in further developing their QMS.
Fair Trade Organisation (FTO) recientemente sirvió de anfitrión de un intercambio entre los cuatro capacitadores de sistema de gestión de calidad (SGC) de América latina que trabajaban con FTO y los tres capacitadores que trabajaban con Twin en África a través de un proyecto financiado por Comic Relief. La idea del taller era de compartir experiencias y el aprendizaje de desarrollar SGC con los socios productores de ambos continentes. El intercambio examinó cómo mejor adaptar la metodología de SGC a la realidad de cada organización, y donde hay una carencia de recursos para desarrollar un sistema completo de SGC, cómo aprovecharse de la metodología para analizar y para mejorar el funcionamiento interno de la organización. Los capacitadores encontraron el intercambio muy útil y regresaron motivados para apoyar a socios productor en su trabajo de SGC.
